Advice for Orange County Residents During High Winds This Weekend

Hello Residents –

With the high winds expected this Labor Day weekend we wanted to provide you with some quick tips.

Stay indoors, secure loose items, and follow official alerts to protect yourself, your home, and your community during the high winds.

Before the Winds Arrive

  • Secure outdoor items: bring in or tie down patio furniture, garden equipment, tents, and any other loose objects that could be blown away
  • Prepare an emergency kit with water, non-perishable food, medications, flashlights, batteries, and a battery-powered radio
  • Charge backup devices and keep your vehicle fueled
  • Sign up for AlertOC.org to receive emergency notifications

During the High Winds

  • Stay indoors and away from windows; if you must be outside, stay close to sturdy structures and avoid elevated areas like roofs
  • Stay off roads when possible; treat intersections as four-way stops if traffic signals lose power
  • Watch for flying debris such as branches and signs
  • If you see a downed power line, stay at least 100 feet away, never touch it, and call 911 immediately
  • If driving, keep both hands on the wheel, slow down, maintain a safe following distance, and avoid high-profile vehicles or trailers

Reminder: Conditions can shift quickly, so please monitor local weather updates and official channels for the latest information.

Subject: Community Painting Project — New Color Palettes Approved

Dear Collage Maintenance Corporation Residents –

As part of this project, the Board carefully reviewed several color options and approved three coordinated Sherwin-Williams color schemes for the community’s exterior surfaces. These schemes will be rotated across the community’s buildings to add visual variety while maintaining a cohesive, complementary look throughout. The approved schemes are:

Scheme 1

  • Body: SW 7036, Accessible Beige
  • Body 2: SW 7032, Warm Stone
  • Door: SW 7012, Creamy
  • Shutters/Trim Accent: SW 9141, Waterloo
  • Wrought Iron: SW 6258, Tricorn Black

Scheme 2

  • Body: SW 9111, Antler Velvet
  • Body 2: SW 6089, Grounded
  • Door: SW 7580, Carnelian
  • Trim: SW 7036, Accessible Beige
  • Wrought Iron: SW 6258, Tricorn Black

Scheme 3

  • Body 2: SW 7025, Backdrop
  • Door: SW 7012, Creamy
  • Shutters/Trim Accent: SW 9141, Waterloo
  • Trim: SW 7036, Accessible Beige
  • Wrought Iron: SW 6258, Tricorn Black

While the overall changes are modest, the Board wanted to share this information with the community in the interest of transparency. The painting project is anticipated to move forward in the spring of 2027, with additional details on scheduling to be communicated as plans are finalized.

This decision reflects the Board’s ongoing commitment to preserving and enhancing the community’s curb appeal and long-term value. The Board considered multiple options before selecting these coordinated palettes.
